We are providing solutions that contribute to the society of living with the virus, utilizing the technology we have accumulated in the TRON project. You can see the demonstrations of the following products at our booth, along with representative results of the above-mentioned solutions.

PMC T-Kernel 3.0 Evaluation Kit

“PMC T-Kernel 3.0” is a real-time OS with significant enhancements such as multi-core support functions, compliant with “IEEE 2050-2018” and “μT-Kernel 3.0” specifications, and based on the many past achievements of “PMC T-Kernel”, Personal Media Corporation’s product version of T-Kernel. “PMC T-Kernel 3.0 Evaluation Kit” is an evaluation kit with SDK that can immediately run “PMC T-Kernel 3.0”. This product runs on a commercial NXP i.MX7 Dual SABRE evaluation board and includes middleware and device drivers such as TCP/IP, and an Eclipse-based development environment. While you actually run “PMC T-Kernel 3.0”, you can proceed with the development and evaluation of your products using this OS. We also offer a free evaluation version that allows a 30-day free trial of the same content as the paid version. (Free trial version is available only for customers in Japan.)

Learning µT-Kernel 3.0 with Task Tracer and micro:bit

We will start providing “Task Tracer” as a useful development tool for µT-Kernel 3.0, a global standard OS for IoT edge nodes. Task Tracer is a tool for analyzing the operations of an embedded system that logs and graphically displays the transitions of execution tasks and the issued system calls. By displaying OS operation on a visual screen, it is useful for debugging and tuning as well as for learning real-time OS and programming practice purposes.

micro:bit, a small educational computer developed mainly by the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), is used as the board for executing Task Tracer. We aim to further promote the use of µT-Kernel 3.0 by providing an environment enabling hands-on practice of real-time OS programming by running µT-Kernel 3.0 and Task Tracer using micro:bit equipped with a wide variety of peripheral devices.

TRON-related books

We will also sell TRON-related books at our booth, including an introductory book that covers μT-Kernel 3.0 in depth and “TRONWARE”, which is packed with the latest information on the TRON project and the IoT. (All books are written in Japanese.)
